The main pool has been drained to be cleaned, so the director tells me, so I walked to the far hide, and I was in wader heaven!!!

2 Marsh Sandpipers, 2 Temminck’s Stints, 1 Greenshank, 2+ Spotted Redshank, 10 Redshank, 20+ Grey Plover, 6 Avocet, around 50 Little Stint, including one bird that looked too large, but was probably only a big one! 1 Curlew Sandpiper, 20+ Dunlin, 1+ Ringed Plover. I spent ages there, plagued by flies and the odd mosquito, but, wow! On my way back, near the solar power reflectors, a big flock of Stone Curlew got up. Marsh Sandpiper was my 200th Sandpiper for Alicante Province this year.
