We are still on our travels in Spain and taking every opportunity to go birding. We are keeping informed by updates on trips and sightings on your website which is excellent and thought you might be interested in a couple of our many sightings. The first is one which we regularly look for at Dunwich Heath, Suffolk; a Dartford Warbler. The second is one which we have never seen in the UK, so our identification is not certain but we believe it is a Wryneck (now confirmed).
Both birds were seen at the San Pedro del Pinatar Saltworks, in the area of dunes and scrub before the beach. The Dartford Warbler was seen the afternoon of the 23rd January and the Wryneck the afternoon of the 27th January.
