3rd June – We have been to a golf course called Las Colinas Golf and Country Club where we at had at least 5 Little Owls, 2 Hoopoes, Mistle Thrush, Gull billed Tern, Med. Gulls, Cattle Egret, Squacco Heron, Kestrel and Serins everywhere. Next I went to Los Balcones to look for Azure winged Magpies but no luck, but I did have a Montagu’s Harrier and Stone Curlew.

4th June – We heard at 7 this morning at least 3 Red necked Nightjars in a pine wood at San Luis next the La Mata lake .

7th June – We returned to Los Balcones and finally got the Azure winged Magpies plus a Montagu’s Harrier and other bits. Then we went to the Guadalentin Valley where we got Spectacled Warbler, Black bellied Sandgrouse, Bee eater and Short toed Lark. Not much else as a lot of land is being used for crops. In the Sierra Espuna mountains we had Crested Tit, Rock Bunting, Raven, Jay, Goldcrest and Crossbills.
