Vistabella Road – Darren Wilson

posted in: Birders Reports | 0

Spent the morning along the Vistabella Road area visiting all four hides and the track between La Raja and Pantà tde Ponent. Despite the local gunfire and The Peloton, I had the following: 4 Booted Eagle (together in same thermal and all pale phase), at least 20 Marsh Harrier (8 in one group), 1 Osprey, 2 Buzzard, 29 White-headed Duck, 1 Tufted Duck, 5 Purple Swamphen, (heard many more), 2 singing Reed Warbler, a few Bluethroat and hundreds of Crag Martins overhead with the odd Barn Swallow amongst them.

Also, had two adult Crane flying south over the plaza in Formentera Del Segura yesterday whilst uploading caffeine.
