This evening in Rojales by the Rio Segura, I saw three Spotted Flycatchers plus a Garden Warbler and a male Pied Flycatcher.

Today at about 13.30 we saw two Roseate Terns amongst the Sandwich Terns.
No sign of the Roseate Tern or any yellow billed terns at El Pinet, but a Caspian Tern (SM) was there, as were two Oystercatchers, and Brian flushed out a Pied Flycatcher. There was a Bonelli’s Warbler (SM) at Carabassi woods.
April 19th – One adult Roseate Tern (SM) sitting on an island by the car park. Two Elegant Terns (SM very rare) sitting together with 100s of Sandwich Terns. April 20th -A Long Eared Owl at La Mata.

We only heard the Turtle Dove at the Clot today, so Barry has beaten us with an eye wink. Also there: Nightingale, trying it’s voice. At the Salinas of Santa Pola we saw from the hide (we outside, the mosquitoes inside) … Continued

Bit of luck at the University this morning! A male Golden Oriole (SM), male Whitethroat (SM) and two male Subalpine Warblers, plus this badly photographed Woodchat Shrike.
On the Los Montesinos to Florentilles Camping road – Montagu’s Harrier (SM), several Spectacled Warblers, Stone Curlew, Little Owl, Hoopoe, 4 Jackdaws, Green Woodpecker and a Cuckoo.
