At the recent AGM a number of changes to the Committee were discussed and agreed.
Firstly, Els is stepping down from the Committee, but hopefully will still be available to give her expert bird recognition advice on future trips.
Stephan is resigning from the President role but will remain on the Committee.
David Roe was elected as the new President. His appointment was proposed by Stephan and seconded by Malcolm. The Members were asked if any other Member wished to stand, but as there were no other candidates, David was unanimously appointed.
Pete explained his circumstances, where he intended to resign from the Committee and return to the UK as soon as his villa is sold. Pete suggested that it would be prudent to gently introduce the volunteers, Len, Heather and Martin to the workings of the secretary’s job, as they could then decide amongst themselves how best to divide the work, and be ready for when he departs.
The rest of the Committee are willing to continue, and the Members approved this.
