El Pinet – Malcolm Palmer

At El Pinet – huge increase in Common Terns, new arrival was a pair of Little Terns, and one solitary Black Tern in full breeding plumage. I took a walk along the Convenio and enjoyed listening to Reed and Moustached Warblers singing at the same time – they are, in fact, completely different – something that isn’t always apparent when you just hear the first Moustached in early spring. On the way home, several nice Woodchat Shrikes.
