A Bird Photography Trip – Mark Davies

posted in: Birders Reports | 0

Not normally known for my avian photography, the two days were spent in the company of Bryan Thomas, a local expert who was easy going and amiable who put me onto photographic opportunities that I would have struggled to achieve otherwise.

Some of the birds spotted seen were Booted Eagle, Common Buzzard, Honey Buzzard, Flamingo, Reed Warbler, Marbled Duck, White-headed Duck, Western Swamphen, Marsh Harrier, Ring-necked Parakeet, Little Grebe, Great Crested Grebe, Kingfisher, Cattle Egret, Little Egret, Grey Heron, Squacco Heron, Lesser Kestrel, Red-knobbed Coot, Hoopoe and the flightless terrapin! Plus countless waders , shrikes (3 variants ), and many many more …

Not all the target species were ‘captured ‘ but if you are a birder/bird photographer, Bryan comes highly recommended . I’ll be back ….
