Moralet – Malcolm Palmer

This morning, at Moralet, between San Vicente and Agost, a party of 6 Lesser Kestrels passed over, diving and catching insects. A Golden Eagle was perched nearby calling.    

Palm Farm Track

Only one bird of note on the PFT, but that was a beautiful Black-shouldered Kite. On Sunday, there was a Knot on the Salinas.

Monnegre – Malcolm Palmer

Had a ride up to Monnegre, where there was very little, but took half an hour on the bridge, overlooking the stream, where I found two Grey Wagtails, a Cetti’s Warbler and a Subalpine Warbler.

Alicante University – Malcolm Palmer

On the University Campus, there was a huge gathering of hirundines, and the vast majority, surprisingly, were Red-rumped Swallows, hundreds of them! There were also both Spotted and Pied Flycatcher, and the first autumn Blackcap.
