El Clot and Carabassi beach – Malcolm Palmer

Finally caught up with Red-rumped Swallow today, together with about a million House Martins over the Clot, where there were huge numbers of duck. Wigeon was new there, and there were plenty of White-headed Ducks scattered amongst the Shoveler, Pochard, Red Crested Pochard and Gadwall. Three Marsh Harriers and a Buzzard flew around. Down on the coast a Whimbrel flew by.
