El Clot – Malcolm Palmer

During my visit, I learned that no less than five pairs of Great Crested Grebes have bred successfully, and at least two pairs of Black-necked Grebe, maybe more. A Whiskered Tern was carrying food, and so was Little Bittern. Great Spotted Cuckoo was being mobbed by Magpies, and Penduline Tit were near the new hide. Stone Curlew called from the hill.
