Bird Sightings – Sun 08 Feb – AM – viewing Platforms at Santa Agueda, nr Catral.
Marsh Harrier, Spotted Eagle – presumed ‘Tonn’. Transmitter visible in photos. On his familiar perch. Snipe, Penduline Tit. Plenty of Cattle and Little Egret, Southern Grey Shrike, Crested Lark, Sardinian Warbler, Serin, Black Redstart.
PM – Rio Segura, nr Guardamar.
Stonechat, Common Sandpiper, Squacco Heron (many pics), Little Bittern (Pair), Audouin’s Gull, Slender Billed Gull, Black Winged Stilt, Little Grebe, Little Egret, Cetti’s Warbler, Kingfisher (pair), Grey Heron, Cormorant, Black Redstart, Kestrel.
*Squacco Heron and Female Little Bittern feeding in the open, together by foot bridge from 5pm, oblivious to myself and passers by only10 yards away 🙂
