On my local walk west of Los Urrutias I had my ‘bird of the year’! This gorgeous Long-eared Owl was causing a commotion high up in a pine tree where it was impossible to get any sort of photo. Fortunately, it then flew into a nearby bush and was uncharacteristically showing off. I also had Spotted and Pied Flycatchers, a Woodchat Shrike and 2 Whinchat which were also present here yesterday.
