My first Spotted Flycatcher of the summer at Salinas De Marchamalo this morning along with 4 Curlew Sandpiper in breeding plumage, 2 Mediterranean Gulls and a handful of Little Tern.
My non-birding neighbour told me that he had seen 11 medium-sized eagles at Cala Reona yesterday circling the hilltop before moving off north. I assume they were Black Kites but would be very interested if any one else has caught up with them. Typical my luck as they probably would have flown straight over my house!
