26th March – I have seen big numbers (beyond 50 on one occasion) of Night Herons flying into El Hondo at dusk. This was from the observation platforms at the end of the road beyond Santa Agueda chapel.
28th March – Revisited tonight and there were 74 Night Heron plus a few more calling that I couldn’t see. It all began at around 7.30 and lasted half an hour. Before then at least 300 Glossy Ibis flew in.
