11th February – On Sunday I saw the Black-winged Kite again by the sheep sheds but it was not around yesterday. 5 Wood Sandpipers were on the Crane track.

12th February – 30 Marbled Ducks were released/re-introduced at El Hondo on Monday.

16th February – I went to Crevillent with Jeanette and her friend Luke. There were a pair of Bonelli’s Eagles there flying, calling and mating. A guide turned up and told us that there is an Eagle Owl roosting by the south gate.

Also this week at Monnegre 6 Griffon Vultures were seen going to their nests. There were 2 Golden Eagles here, and by the Trumpeter Finch area were Black Wheatear, Dartford Warbler and Blue Rock Thrush.

At Maigmo we saw Little Owl, Crested Tit, Cirl Bunting, Woodlark and Firecrest.
