Joy and Mick Braker sent us details of a Barn Owl they found dead yesterday, a sad sight indeed. We usually prefer to see our birds alive but I thought it might be of general interest. Any comments, please email us.
This is what Joy said: –
“Mick and I went to the North gate of El Hondo yesterday where we had a very sad sighting of a dead Barn Owl in the tree next to the tower hide. I have attached some photos. I have told the park office about this by email and have sent them the photos. I suppose the bird could have just died of cold or hunger or even maybe old age, there did not appear to be any injuries to the bird.”
