A short drive around today found things fairly quiet but we did see a flock of around 40 Glossy Ibis flying over the palm farm track.

This morning at Vistabella (my first morning out as a bionic birder, thanks to Barry) a House Martin – maybe two (WINTER SIGHTING) , amongst a lot of more expected stuff, including a nice male Hen Harrier.

19th December – A Little Bittern (WINTER SIGHTING) – seen from the first hide at San Felipe by Mary and John.
A very unusual sighting for this date – a juvenile Purple Heron! Not much else, just a Bluethroat, a Booted Eagle (only one!) and 6 Green Sandpipers.
