La Mata – Darren Wilson

Just been to the north end of Laguna de la Mata. Saw the following:

A presumed pair of Montagu’s Harrier at the location given below.
Flamingo – 18 (many more in the distance).
Black-necked Grebe – Over 50 with a few juveniles.
Numerous Gull-billed Terns and Slender-billed Gulls.
Common Tern – 9 including two juvs
Bee-eater – 6 overhead.
Common Sandpiper – 1.
Turtle Dove – 2.
Also Kestrel, Iberian Grey Shrike, Red-legged Partridge, Squacco and Night Heron, Little Egret, Shelduck and Black-winged Stilt.

Had 2 Peregrine at Sierra de Callosa yesterday and a Short-toed Eagle just west of Torremendo village on Monday.
